Diane L. Whipple, Ph.D.
School Psychologist
Clinical Psychologist
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology (summa cum laude) from Rhode Island College, Dr. Whipple earned a Master of Arts degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She sought additional training and obtained licensure as a Ph.D. general psychologist. Her clinical experience includes evaluation and therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with dementia.
Dr. Whipple has experience working in preschool, elementary, middle, and high school settings as well as clinics. Her expertise is in conducting assessments (psychological, educational, and social and emotional). She also offers treatment interventions (individual and group therapy) for concerns related to attention, anxiety, depression, mood swings, adjustment, social skills and communication, and self-injurious behavior. Dr. Whipple also consults with mental health professionals, school personnel, and medical doctors to coordinate care.
Positions she has held include Board of Director for the Blackstone Valley Boys and Girls Club in Blackstone, Massachusetts and president of the PSI CHI National Honor Society for the Rhode Island College psychology department. Her teaching experience includes parent training at the Human Resource Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and supervision of pre- and post-doctoral psychology students in a clinic setting. Awards she has received include an Honorary Undergraduate Scholars Award from the New England Psychological Association; an Honorary Award Recognition by having her biography published in the 25th Annual Edition of "The National Dean's List, 2001-2002;" and the Rhode Island College psychology faculty awarded her the "Senior of the Year" honor based on academic excellence and leadership skills.Charlene Leveillee MSW, LICSW
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
Charlene has an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree awarded by Annhurst College in Woodstock, Connecticut. She graduated cum laude.
Charlene has a Masters of Social Work degree from the Boston University Graduate School of Social Work. She received scholarships for her academic achievements while at Boston University and graduated summa cum laude.
Charlene obtained her independent license in the state of Rhode Island from the Department of Health after passing the national licensing test given by the National Board of Social Workers.
Charlene has clinical experience with children and adolescents, older adults, and substance abuse. She offers individual, group and family interventions to assist concerns of depression, anxiety, social skills, adjustment to life situations, relaxation, communication, substance abuse and self-injurious behaviors.
Charlene is an adjunct professor at the Rhode Island School of Social Work and is a field supervisor for graduate and undergraduate students at Rhode Island College.
Charlene is a member of the National and Rhode Island Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
Charlene is a recipient of the Rhode Island Hope Award for her dedication to the adolescents involved in the Rhode Island Drug Court.
